mom are supposed to have their personal time, me-time. for me, that is my time online. it is precious, mainly because it is limited. blogging (and playing games on facebook) are the main reasons why i go online. i'd go crazy and non-functional if i don't get to this at least once a day. other moms go shopping and pamper themselves. i farm, bake, treasure hunt.

as i was reading through the comments left for me, i was intrigued by one. i hopped over to christy at just thinkin' and was pleasantly surprised to see this:.

so,here's the deal...answer the 10 questions asked by the kind soul that gave you the award and make up 10 questions to pass along. here are my answers. ready? game!

1. Why do you blog?

i started blogging years ago to express my thoughts. i'm never the one who can easily make friends in person, but people seem to like what i have to say. so i write.

as a new mom, i had difficulties and i needed help. i felt like i was alone in dealing with motherhood. i started blogging again to reach out to other moms, to be virtually hugged and to hug back, to connect. 

2. What was your favorite age to be and why?

i loved being in my 20s. fresh out of college, the whole world just opened to me. i started my first job, started earning money, learned how to drink, hung out in coffeeshops with new friends. fun times :)

3. What's your favorite sport to play?

unfortunately, i can't play sports. i am hopelessly myopic (nearsighted) and use contact lenses to see things beyond my face.

4. What's your favorite sport to watch, and who's your favorite team?

i love watching soccer! in a country that is basketball-crazy, i am weird by filipino standards. i just love to watch the action, the gracefulness, the passion of the players. i still dont know all the rules, but i'm getting there. it is my secret wish that jackjack would play soccer someday. ooh, FIFA is almost upon us :)

5. If you could pick your perfect career (and money doesn't matter / the kids are out of the house) what would it be?  

if i could get paid to bum around in the mall, hang out in the coffeehouse, or blog about any topic i like, that would be great.

6. Do you ever feel guilty for blogging?

with the rising cost of electricity, i do feel guilty for blogging sometimes. i blog at odd hours of the day (it's actually 330am here in manila), so i'm not guilty about being away from jackjack (he's asleep anyway).

7. What is your favorite holiday?

truth be told, i didnt care much about holidays in the past. when i was working, holidays meant no work, that's all. 

8. What's your favorite kind of music?

i happen to love rock and pop. oh yeah, and pop rock.

9. Do you consider yourself a good driver or bad driver?

i'm such a bad driver that i dont drive, ever. i don't know how to drive and have no intention of learning how. i fear that road rage would put me in prison and would leave my child motherless.

10. What's the farthest away place you have visited?

general santos city, in mindanao (the farthest island in the philippines). it is the land where manny pacquiao, the current pound-for-pound king, was born and currently residing. i went there on a business trip (also my first time to ride a plane), yet two days before that, several bombs went off in different places and killed many people. a terrorist group in mindanao said they did it. among the places where the bomb went off was a couple of blocks from my hotel. that was exciting.
