my chocolate

better late than never, as they say. i wrote this last wednesday, but we had to rush my son to the hospital the next day so i wasn't able to post it until now...

i have always had a love affair with chocolate. at the grocery, i have to hop over to the sweets section to get my chocolate bar of choice (anything dark chocolate is love). chocolate-something-or-anything is what i have with coffee. growing up, if someone asked me what flavor of ice cream i wanted, i'd say chocolate (i still do). if all they had had was vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of chocolate syrup is good enough to go. after dinner, i have to have a piece of it.

so it was a bit of surprise when i asked J gave this response when i asked what my weakness was: well, lately you have been impatient with jackjack. you have high expectations for the kid and he's just 2-years-old!

err, ok. not the response i was hoping for, so i tried again. uhm, don't think. what comes at the top of your head? what is my weakness?

well, you love chocolate. there we go. the other "weakness" can be a topic for another entry.

you know what's funny about you? you only need to take a bite and you're good. yeah, i know. a regular-sized chocolate bar can last for two weeks in my house, as long as no one else touches it.

  2. I love black or dark chocolate, anything with hazelnuts and macadamia, and dusted with cocoa powder. Have you tried Machiavelli in Rustan's Makati. I made a blog about it.
