i first saw your show when jackjack was just a couple of months old. i was a haggard mom at that time, recuperating from childbirth and feeling all alone in taking care of my son. watching you and jon make sense of your household with 2 sets of multiples inspired me. if you guys can do it on a daily basis (take it one day at a time, you said), then why can't i?taking your mantra of taking a day at a time helped me survive the first few months, especially when my son got sick. more than 2 years later, i am now enjoying motherhood and taking it all in, a day at a time.
when i heard about your divorce, i thought of your kids. divorce is never easy. like war, it leaves innocent casualties; in your case, the children. a part of me went ballistic: "what?! that idiot has EIGHT kids and he even had time to go get a hussy?!"
i heard you had a makeover, okay, 2 makeovers, to make yourself feel better. and now, you're dancing! i haven't seen it, so i don't know if you're any good. i hope you don't embarrass your kids.

I like your letter! I'm just a tiny bit obsessed with Jon and Kate gossip, and I still don't know how Jon went from being a nice, easy going family man to chasing young hussies.
ReplyDeleteLike Bethany, I also have an unhealthy obsession for these people. I guess it frustrates me how I watched those kids grow up and I learned to love them. Then, all of a sudden... this. Totally unexpected and sadly I took it a bit personally, like many people.
ReplyDeleteAt first, it looked like Jon was the bad guy. Still I'm not sure how Kate can go across the country for weeks/months? at a time to do a show. She says she wants money to support her kids, but I think she has already done just fine.
Take care of your kids, jon and Kate. That's why we love you.
I used to feel sorry for Kate, but now I'm just tired of seeing her in the spotlight. I think they both need a butt-kicking. Jon needs it far worse than Kate, but they both need it.
ReplyDeleteI recently wrote about Kate as well. Like you, I stated watching Jon & Kate while at home with my first baby. I learned to love their kids and was amazed by how they managed to do it all everyday.
