ok, let's get the cat out of the bag. my hubby and i decided to move out of my parents' house. the reason? let's just say the house is getting too small for everyone. sis-in-law offered her property in san pedro, laguna in exchange for hubby's property in manila. since we aren't planning to move back to manila after the fire and that he works in alabang, we decided that it'll do.
the house needs a lot of love. it needed re-painting, roof needs to be checked and since we found traces of water in one room, the ceiling would have to be fixed. he wants to get it all done so we can move in before june 2009 (according to feng shui). but i worry if now is the right time since we're strapped for cash. we have not prepared for this and our savings were obliterated when jackjack was hospitalized last year.
i dont have anything against feng shui, but i wonder if the hubby is letting it rule our life. he bought all those statues and remedies that is said to deflect bad luck. the furnitures, even the wall paint, is dependent on feng shui. with all this attention to detail, it'd better work.

My in-laws' lives are dictated by feng shui, too. Personally, I'm not convinced if it actually works. But what the heck, as long as it's not a hassle.
