fever

the other night, jackjack had a fever. i dont know where it came from, and i still dont. he woke up that day with the sniffles but he was his usual self. when he woke up from his afternoon nap, he was a little warm and wanted to cuddle more than usual. he only wants more cuddles when he's not feeling well.

by 7pm, his temp is already 37.5 degrees. he refused dinner, so i gave him paracetamol and a bottle. despite that, he couldnt sleep. it came to a point that he was screaming and crying at the same time. he'll try to settle down for 5-10 minutes, then the screaming and crying would start again. i was so worried, because he was never like that. he finally fell asleep by 11pm. needless to say, i wasnt able to sleep much that night.

i checked his temp again at 2pm, and it went up to 38 degrees. i gave him another dose of paracetamol and thankfully, he fell right back to sleep.

he woke me up again at 730am, smiling and signing "thank you." i was so relieved. he didnt relapse and the fever has not come back since. as i said, i still dont what caused it that he was screaming and crying as if from pain.
